Betty Coleman
Betty was born in 1932 and raised in Cambridge Minnesota as an only child in a Christian home. She asked Jesus into her life at the age of six. While growing up on a farm she experienced much rejection along with emotional and physical pain. Because of her own pain she developed a compassion for the hurting, animal or human.
Struggling with her own emotional pain and need for love, she looked for love in the wrong places, resulting in sinful relationships. Betty discovered these relationships did not fill her emptiness but rather added pain, sorrow and shame. She confessed her sin, turned away from it and recommitted her life to Jesus Christ. God, in His mercy and grace, forgave her and gave her new life in Christ. He met her need by filling her with His love.
Since that time God has done a deep work in Betty and has called her to minister to the “whole person” with the healing love of Jesus. The “walking wounded” are helped to become emotionally and spiritually whole through prayer, scriptural advice and teaching.
Betty has a degree in Elementary Education and taught school for 23 years. Her experience in teaching and ministry include running a home for troubled people, working as a teacher and Director of the Title 1 program at the Minnesota State Reformatory for Men in Saint Cloud Minnesota, working with a Christian counseling and discipleship ministry, co-founding a Christian School in Saint Cloud, Minnesota and serving as administrator, teacher, co-founder and director of The Regeneration Center since 1982.
Besides her formal training at Saint Cloud State University, Betty has attended training at Youth With a Mission (YWAM), Freedom in Christ Ministries and is in the process of training with Growing Families International.
