CHRIS SCHMIDT
Chris Schmidt was born in St. Paul, MN and grew up in Alexandria. Although he gave his life to the Lord at the age of 9, the realization of what that fully meant did not become clear to him until his mid to late 20’s. Chris is a graduate of Jefferson Senior High School and has been employed by Cabinets By Carter for 19 years. He also started his own business called Dream Cars where he buys, sells, and consigns vehicles worldwide.
Chris has been married to his wife, Tiffany, for 15 years and they have 3 daughters. They are members of New Testament Church and the LEARN at Home Board.
The Schmidt’s felt led a year ago to move to relocate to Villard and begin some type of outreach for kids in the area. Now, along with his wife and several local volunteers, Chris heads up a community outreach called the Villard Cornerstone open to kids K-12 and their parents. They have been blessed with the use of the former school in Villard and are able to have open gym, crafts, table games, etc., as well as a free lunch donated by local church members for all the kids and parents who choose to attend.
Chris and his family have hearts for the mission field and are so excited to have God use them locally. “Jesus is calling out to everyone, Are we listening? He has words of Hope, Encouragement, Comfort, and Reassurance of His unending Love for All of Us.”
