Dennis Johnson

Dennis Johnson and his wife Joyce are both members of The Regeneration Center Board of Directors.

Dennis is from North Dakota where he was involved in education all of his life.  He earned a Masters of Science degree in Educational Administration from North Dakota State University in Fargo.  He started in education early in life; starting teaching at age 21 and becoming the High School Principal of that same school at age 23.

In 1990 Dennis and his family moved to Minnesota where he was the High School Principal at Ortonville.  After seven years there they moved to Alexandria, trying a different occupation of real estate.  The call of education was still there and in 2001 Dennis took the Director position of Lakes Area Charter School in Osakis.  Lakes Area Charter School is a grades 9-12 high school that offers an alternative schedule with a full Minnesota required curriculum.  The school had two teachers and twelve students in 2001.  The school now has seventy-five students, seven full time teachers, two part time teachers, four paraprofessionals, and four staff members.  Dennis has most recently taken disability leave from the school.

The Regeneration Center board is a special interest to Dennis as it is a service to people doing God’s work.  He has thirty-three years of experience working on boards so the knowledge and experience for this work of the Regeneration Center is well served.
