On April 12th, La Cosecha hosted a conference on “Healing and Freedom” where Sofonias shared his powerful testimony of recovery. Sofonias was one of the first men to be rehabilitated at “La Cosecha” 15 years ago, and since then, he has dedicated his life to serving God at La Cosecha alongside his wife and children.
A Story of Resilience
Sofonias has a remarkable story of resilience, having faced many challenges since his childhood. He grew up on the streets, abandoned, and raised in orphanages. He endured hunger, cold weather, and abuse, and his life was marked by drugs and jail time. However, everything changed when he arrived at La Cosecha and experienced true healing and freedom through the power of God and the Holy Spirit.
God Provides Healing and Freedom
Today, Sofonias is a respected leader at the rehab center, deeply loved by the men he serves. He understands their struggles and offers them hope, just as he received when he arrived at “La Cosecha”. Oti and Gaby, founders of La Cosecha, are confident that his testimony will inspire and challenge many to open their hearts to God’s healing and obtain freedom through His Word.
La Cosecha to Expand
In addition to Sofonias’ testimony, Oti and Gaby bring exciting news about the progress of “La Cosecha-Costa”, their new land graciously provided by God. The land has been cleared of weeds, and the road has been opened for accessibility. The next step is to fence off the area with barbed wire. They are grateful for God’s provision as they continue to rehabilitate and teach the Word of God to young men and adults from different states of Mexico who come seeking help.
