1,200 New Disciples in Ghana Are Being Trained

Christian Outreach Fellowship (COF) Expresses Gratitude For Continued Support

Emmanuel, Executive Director of Christian Outreach Fellowship (COF), opens his letter with these words: “We give thanks to God for his inexpressible gift of life! His love and grace have indeed sustained our families, COF Ministry, as well as our local and international partners through the year 2022.”

Despite the increasingly unstable economy in Ghana (as in much of the rest of the world), COF Ministries reported a year full of provision, opportunities, and increasing numbers of many new people reached by the Gospel. Emmanuel gives praise to God for everything they have received, and also takes a moment to thank everybody who partnered with them through prayer, financial giving, and words of encouragement “which have made it possible for us to serve and bring in the harvest of our labor in 2022.”

1,200 New Disciples in Ghana

COF currently has a workforce of 168 missionaries serving mainly in Northern Ghana to bring the Bible to each village in their native tongues, as well as help with community development. Since its conception, COF missionaries have planted hundreds of churches.

In the year 2022, it’s estimated that about 9,488 people received the word of God through the Audio Bible ministry and the accompanying churches. About 1,662 of them accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and nearly 1,200 of them are attending church regularly and are actively involved in discipleship training.

New COF Missions Center Building in Progress

One of the biggest projects COF is undertaking at the moment is the construction of a Missions Center, which is partially completed. The second floor, which is comprised of eight bedrooms, is completed and fully furnished. A 120 occupancy conference hall and offices is still under construction, as is the kitchen and the landscaping.

The estimated date of completion for this project has been delayed, unfortunately, due to a decrease in funds received. Emmanuel estimates they will need close to $60,000USD in order to complete the project. In addition to coming up with enough money to finish the project, Emmanuel says that another hurdle will be getting a well-trained staff to run the center, and the necessary furnishings and equipment needed to keep the place running. He continues to trust in the Lord that He will provide as is needed, and they continue to wait on the Lord’s timing for completion of the Ministry Center.

All Glory Be To God

Regardless of the hurdles they experienced in 2022, Emmanuel says, “we rejoice in God for bringing us this far and granting us the strength to continue to serve in his vineyard. Our statistical and changed lives reports as well as our accomplishments testify to what God has done and continue to do among His children and the Ministry of COF. We will forever glorify His name!”

Thank you to everyone who continues to take the time to read the reports from this ministry and pray for the team of people that God has called to do His work in Northern Ghana.
