BTG – 5/4/13

Hello God’s people,

Glory be to God Almighty for his love and kindness for us all and also granting our dear David and Tory a safe journey. Day by day and moment by moment, God is using us all to bring many people to see the light here in Ghana. We have been so far blessed to visit two regions and are currently in the Ashanti region. Our current plan of spending a week in each region has made sending you weekly emails difficult. But now that we are in the Ashanti region and have access to the internet, we hereby want to send you an email of what ensued during our trip to the Western and Brong-Ahafo regions.

We hope you can all recall that we brought our previous trip to end in the Western region on our last trip and couldn’t visit our dear friends as a result of the engine breakdown. So on this trip we started from the Western region and were able to visit our dear friends living by the coast. Even though we were not able to visit them for 5 weeks, they were filled with joy to know that we are bringing the talking Bibles and visiting the other tribes in the region. Demand for Nzema is increasing and so far it comes next to Asante language.

Things seem a little difficult as we still find it difficult to visit every village monthly. Regions like Western, Brong-Ahafo and Ashanti are very big and a whole month is not enough to visit each of these regions. For Ashanti region, it is easier because of one dialect but the other two has numerous dialect and the level of illiteracy is high. We meet people we can hardly talk to because they can’t speak English and we sometimes don’t understand them. We are lucky to have some Akans live among them and can understand us. Unless we find those Christians among them who can help us we will be traveling a lot and the work would be so slow. There are other challenges but we would rather focus on the opportunities. Last week we met a brother who is working alone by going to smaller villages with no roads. He was so impressed by the work we are all doing through the talking Bibles.

This Christian is called Augustine. We gave him couple of the talking Bible to bring to the villages and also help us by letting us know if there is a need of the talking Bible. It was after we met him that Paul and I also sat and decided that we would also start going to market places and look for men of God and together form a team that can also go to those places we can’t visit.  Now we have realized that there is more work on the the part of the Ghanaian team and we are also blessed with men who have faith in God and like the American team.

It would be better to make you understand things by sending you a detailed Ghanaian map so that you can all help us in implementing strategies that can make the work easy and effective.  We want to be able to have a network that can reach fifty percent or more  remote villages in each region. We are looking at where we can possibly find men of God who love the Lord and are willing to spread the Good News same work .

So far, every thing is going on well and we thank God so much. Thank you so much for all your support and everything and may God bless you all.

Paul and Kwame.
