BTG – 9/17/13

Dear family of Christ Jesus,
It’s once again a pleasure to announce the good works to you all. We wish there would be internet supply in all the places to be able to write you a regional weekly emails about all the things that ensue on our trip in each region. Paul, Richard and I and our entire families are in good shape and we thank God that we have not heard anything bad from your end and the Good Lord has always blessed keep you safe. We also bring you greetings from all the the villages, the number of villages are increasing day by day.
So far, we can boast that for the past 8 months we have not been rejected in any village. We thank God so much that our dear brothers and sisters are enjoying the talking Bibles. We have few cases where some of our friends take the talking Bibles to their families living in those remote areas where only paths lead to or places we cannot go. When this happens, our work becomes a little hard since we cannot visit the next village who are expecting the talking Bible. Now what we want is a strategy that can also put those men who are eager to help the talking Bible reach the most remote parts of the country.
Talking Bibles, we’ve learnt, are very expensive if not we wish to have at least 30 of each language. There are many men who are willing to work with us in the villages and very honest we can trust and give talking Bibles to bring to the places we have not yet reach. We do not have to pay them but we have to bring them used clothing and shoes. We do not want to do exactly what the missionaries are doing besides we may not have even have the funds that they have but one thing that we have and which makes us feel very bless is the Word that we are bring and not just materials or teach customs of one particular church.
We want all of you to know that we have an opportunity here in Ghana as far as Kingdom of God is concern, and our work, we believe have been made easy by our Lord. The care and the love that we get from our dear friends are wonderful. They feel blessed to have us come from the city to their villages. When God brings Tory to us we would like to focus on how to train the men who are willing to help us and even educate them on how to operate the talking Bibles and also a form of program or practices that can be implemented to put the talking Bibles to use.
On the regional news, Western region has been so fantastic and has the highest demand of the talking Bibles. This region on like the other three regions has three main languages namely Nzema, Sefwi, and Ahanta, also in addition to the many other languages of the people who have migrated from the three northern regions in search of work on the cocoa farms. Due to the cocoa farms in both the Western, Brong and Ashanti, many northerners have migrated to these regions to work. Our friends from the upper part of Western region are really making use of the talking Bibles and we need more to supply them.
Men and women alike wants to volunteer by bring the talking Bibles out to their dear ones living miles upon miles in the in the farms away from the places we have reached so far. We cannot determine how many Sefwi languages are needed because of the many Sefwi villages. In the past, therefore we are warned by almost all the people we tell about Sefwi. There have been many cases where women and children are killed for rituals and many people have gone missing but such cases have reduced and God is bringing his light to them.
So far, we have been treated kindly and we thank God so much and we want to thank you all and say God bless you. There are other challenges due to their beliefs but we know that the truth will come to their heart and pray that God’s word can also be pass on to the next generation. We are living in a world where church is slowly becoming a business and nobody will spend their money to build churches in these bushes if the people cannot tithe or give offerings, we are aware that the end time is here and are not so surprised.
In the western region, we suggested a program that can prompt our friend to put the talking Bibles to use. Already, they are using it because of lack of electricity and poor radio signals. For this reason they play the talking Bibles at all times and we have learnt that where there is electricity the villagers spend lots of time watching TV and this is common in all four regions. We have atleast 25 villages that we visit in the upper part of Western region excluding the southern Nzema people. We have recently found many Nzema villages away from the coast. We would love to have extra 20 Nzema and about 30 Sefwi. We also need Anyin language. Anyin is spoken in both Ghana and in Ivory Coast and there is a gentleman who wants to bring the talking Bible across the Border to the Anyin speaking people in Ivory Coast. We have no plans to go to Ivory Coast because of the many works that need to be done.
Brong Ahafo region is going well and we just need the talking Bibles in the northern languages. Please get us the Akan language in Brong or Bono language that we will really help. We have extended our trip here to Brekum and Domaa Ahenkro where the language is spoken more. We need about 20 Bono languages.
In the Eastern region, there following languages are needed Dangme, Akwapim, and Asante talking Bibles. We are now visiting the areas in the mountain where the Akwapim languages are spoken. Akwapim is an Akan language as well as Fante. We also need more Akan languages for Ashanti region as well as and also a part of the Central region. We need Fante language to start our central region trip.
We have always drove through Central region to Accra and have not visited any village because of fatigue at that point of our trip. To start visiting Central region, want to try about 20 Fante villages and see how it works. We will also bring more Twi to the Central region. For now we have to have a plan in place to make use of all the resource we have even there in the villages. We have God loving youngsters who wants to help.
On the other hand, our car is really struggling on the road because of the nature of the road and this car we believe was not made to handle roads of this nature. We want to trade it in for a 4WD soon because its depreciating as the distance is increasing. Thank you all for your support and prayer. God is doing good works through us all. God bless you.

Paul, Richard and Kwame.
