La Cosecha April update

April 30, 2022, Report of the activities of the ministry of “La Cosecha”, Oaxaca, Mexico

“But Jesus called the children to him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'”

luke 18:16

Greetings, brothers, from Oaxaca, Mexico.  We hope you are in good health and blessed with every spiritual blessing.  In the month of April in Mexico we celebrate the day of the child.  We in “La Cosecha”, in order to be compliant in “El Semillero”, celebrated with our children.  We especially share with you our joy that they are advancing so much in their physical development as well as their educational development and in biblical teaching.  They are children who have recovered their joy.  God has been healing their hearts from the sorrows they had suffered because of the errors of their parents, and today we see them full of energy, happy and thankful to God.  As you know, Carolina, the supervisor of the children, homeschools them.  This month they were tested and all of them had very good grades.  Truly, brothers, it is a great blessing to be part of the work God is doing in Debora, Anette, Damaris and Asaf because above everything else they are knowing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We understand now that the Lord brought them to this house in order to bring them close to him as our Beloved Savior says, “Let the little children come to me…”

We also want to tell you, brothers, that this month we took in another young man who is addicted to drugs.  This young man is the son of a believer in Christ who lives in a native village in Oaxaca.  This young man is very rebellious and aggressive.  Even though his parents taught him the gospel, he hasn’t wanted to obey and because of his bad conduct the police of his village arrested him and brought him to “La Cosecha” for rehabilitation.  God willing, this young man will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ personally.  His name is Julio.

With the other men we continue working at the farm, in the completion of the bathrooms and the work of maintenance of the residence.  We are praying that God will provide the necessary resources to enclose the land that was donated to “La Cosecha” on the coast.

This month we bought four tires for the pickup we use to bring the men to the church meetings because the tires that it did have were in very poor condition.

We love you in the love of Christ.  May God bless you.

Otniel Salvador Hernandez, Director of La Cosecha.
